Pack 22 had a great time at Eternal Flame Campout 2012 on October 26th through October 28th, 2012.  The Pack participated in flag retirement ceremonies, which are respectful retirement of American flags that are no longer fitting symbols of the nation.  Typically, flags that are discolored or torn are turned into the Boy Scouts of America for retirement at such an event.  The flags are retired by burning in a reverent ceremony.  All cub scouts participated as color guards during at least one ceremony each.  All attendees, including guests, families and younger siblings were able to personally retire a mini-flag.

While not on duty at the Eternal Flame, scouts participated in fun and educational activities such as rope making, ultimate football and fire building.  Of course, the whole weekend was a family camp.  The Pack 22 families pitched tents and set up some communal cooking and eating areas and ate many potluck-style meals together.
